Responsibilities
- General UNIX environment day-to-day administration
- Plan and schedule system patch and upgrade
- Evaluation of system utility tools
- Infrastructure solution architecture
- System capacity/resource planning
- Incident and problem management
- System performance management
- Project and team resource management
- Working with application team to collect and analyze the requirement and propose technical solution
- Evaluates new products and technologies and or recommends purchaser
- Provide DR solution
Essential Technical Knowledge / Skills
- At least 5 years experience in Unix System Administration
- Good knowledge in UNIX (AIX & Linux) OS security, HA solution, server virtualization technology and VIO
- Strong technical expertise in Logical Volume Manager, strong in problem analysis and solution skill
- Ability to write scripts in common administrative language (shell, perl, etc)
- Certify in ITIL and other IT service management
Others
- Degree in Computer Science
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Productiveness, team work and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure independently and within the team
- Willingness to travel within Asia Pacific Region
- Independent problem-solving
- Willing to take initiative
